1、 Android Wallet

Nickname registration feature added

Developer Community

1、 James Shang, a volunteer community manager of LBTC, and his team developed the Lightning Bitcoin Encyclopedia website (lbtcwiki.com), the website has been officially launched and both the Chinese and English versions have been completed.

2、 James Shang, a volunteer community manager of LBTC, and his team developed the Lightning Bitcoin Home website (lbtchome.com), including LBTC-related news, market prices and community weibo integration. The website is now online, and the team is still developing new functions, fixing bugs and improving the UI.

Community News

1、 Recently W.H.H, the core developer of LBTC, accepted an exclusive interview with Bitcoinist.com, a famous blockchain media in the United States, he explained about the latest roadmap of LBTC: “LBTC is moving towards a true peer-to-peer electronic cash system that meets Satoshi’s vision. Currently, LBTC development focuses on two aspects: underlying functional expansion and user experience optimization. LBTC’s vision is to be a true Internet of Value, thus to provide affordable financial services to global users and meet the requirements of asset tokenization. At the same time, LBTC is also committed to overseas communities and technology communities to accommodate more overseas developers.”

2、 On July 10th, the StakingCon, a.k.a. Staking Eco-Conference, co-sponsored by Odaily and BlockBeats, was held in Beijing. LBTC, together with Algorand, Cardano, Tezos, NEM, IRISnet, Decred and other world-renowned projects were invited to attend the conference. PoS ecological members such as f2pool, Sparkpool, Hashquark, and Huobi Wallet also participated in the event. In addition, the LBTC team conducted in-depth opinion exchanges with the project team on governance, technology, ecology, service, and flow in the PoS ecosystem.

3、 The Polkadot China Meetup were held on the evening of July 20th. LBTC community enthusiasts listened to the wonderful technical speech given by Dr. Gavin Wood, founder of Polkadot and former CTO of the Ethereum. The speech focused on technical features of Kusama, the Polkadot test network, and how on-chain governance was conducted. LBTC community enthusiasts had an in-depth opinion exchange with Dr. Gavin Wood on LBTC’s on-chain governance and token mortgage economic model, and Dr. Gavin Wood expressed his appreciation.

4、 According to the on-chain data, the number of active addresses and on-chain transactions of LBTC continued to break its own record in July. By July 26, the average number of new addresses per day was around 200, and the total number of active addresses reached 41,574; and the number of transactions per day during the week was around 300, and the average number of transactions per day was over 27,000. Both of these data are close to the well-known on-chain governance projects Decred (DCR) and Chainlink (Link).
